Abstract
Of the three upland rice varieties studied, only Ac 360 ptb 10, a variety that usually lodges 100 per cent, responded to the amount and time of nitrogen application. Milfor 6 (1) a non-lodging variety, and azucena, a medium-lodging variety, did not lodge at all. Lodging increased with increasing amount of fertilizer applied two weeks after planting.
