Abstract

Of the three upland rice varieties studied, only Ac 360 Ptb 10, a variety that usually lodges 100 per cent, responded to the amount and time of nitrogen application. Milfor 6 (1), a non-lodging variety, and azucena, a medium lodging variety, did not lodge at all. Lodging incerased with increasing amount of fertilizer applied two weeks after planting.
