Abstract

The overall growth performance of 3-year old "Szinkom" mandarin scions as influenced by the rootstocks "kulubot", Valamandarin, "Troyer" citrange, "Cleopatra" mandarin, "Koethen" sweet orange, Rough lemon, "Pomeroy" trifoliate orange, and "Szincom" mandarin was studied in the Citrus Orchard, Department of Agronomy, University of the Philippines, College of Agriculture, from August 14, 1969, to July 14, 1970.

Considering the increase in diameters of the scion and stock, height of the tree, spread of the canopy, and resistance to pest and diseases, "Cleopatra" mandarin, "Pomeroy" trifoliate orange, and "Szinkom" mandarin stocks appeared best for the "Szinkom" mandarin scion.
