Abstract

Greater percentage of success was obtained on using soft-wood scions, althoough hard-wood scions that survived seemed more vigorous. Soft-wood and hard-wood Arabica scions grafted on Robusta stock was better than on Excelsa stock.

Cleft grafting and shield budding were the methods of plant propagation used. When tested for their effectiveness, the former gave a higher percentage of success.
