Abstract

The bunchy type of peanut outyielded the runner type in fresh and dry weights of the whole plant and straw regardless of the methods of culture followed, during the dry season. There was no significant difference between the two types during the wet season.

Of the three methods of culture studied, the level method gave the highest fresh and dry weights of the whole plant in both types during the wet season. The different methods of culture did not very significantly in the average yield of pods, straw and seeds of both types in either season.
