Abstract

Comparative performance of twelve (12) sweet corn varieties were studied under different nitrogen levels.

A significant response to increased rates of nitro-gen application was evident in the twelve (12) varieties. Varieties Philippine Hybrid No. 801, (PYS 3 x PYS4) HYS5, and Hawaii Yellow Sweet consistently out-performed the other varieties at all nitrogen rates.

The interaction between the variety and nitrogen rates was significant indicating that varieties performed differently at different nitrogen levels.
