Abstract

Unsprouted cacao seeds irradiated with gamma radiation from a radiocobalt-60 source exhibited prolonged storage ability. Abnormalities, as cotyledon-burning, crinkling, cupping, serration, furcation, fascination, leaf-narrowing and stunting were produced.

Profused secondary roots, broadenned, high-pigmented, leathery and thick leaves indicating stimulation also occurred.

Recovery from the changes occurred but several abnormalities still persisted.
