Abstract

The application of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium influenced the growth, branching habit, height, fiber yield, and quality of Triumfetta bartramia. The plants showed response to combination of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium and not to a single element alone. Dry fiber yield was greatly increased from 210 kg. per hectare in the control o 1,148 kg. per hectare at the 60-60-60 level and 1,229 kg. per hectare at the 90-60-60 level. Color and fiber texture were not vary much affected by fertilization stronger fibers were obtained from fertilized plants.
