Abstract

Eighteen castrated 30-day old pigs were used to determine the feeding value of opaque-2 corn and rice middlings in starter and grower ration. The pigs were randomly distributed into each treatment and fed individually with three experimental rations until they reached around thirty kilograms liveweight.

There were no significant differences among treatments for daily gain and feel efficiency. the performance of the pigs fed with rice middlings, opaque-2 corn and normal corn were relatively the same. However, there was a trend for rice middlings to be slightly better than normal corn (control).
