Abstract

No significant differences in the height and girth of shoots were obtained from the different treatments used. However, comparison of the lots revealed that the partially shaded trees (lot II) generally had a faster rate of growth than the exposed ones (lot I).

A highly significant differences in average yield of fresh berries was obtained among the treatments in lot I. treatment 3 (three vertical shoots allowed to grow) gave the highest yield, treatment 1 (1 shoot allowed to grow), the least.

Treatment in lot II had no significant differences in yield
