Abstract

This paper presented a step-by-step learning process on how to understand verbal problems easily and solve it more efficiently. Verbal problems considered were Age problems, Coin problems, Number-relation problems, Interest and Investment problems, Distance problems and Mixture problems. For the study, comic strips were used to aid the students in analyzing the problems and guide them in arriving at a certain formula to come up with a solution. From the pictures presented and from the lessons made, verbal problems were solved more efficiently.
