Abstract
Regression equations involving nonlinear parameters can easily be solved by using iterative calculation as presented by Williams. For these equations, exact significance tests are not possible, but the predicting equation will usually yield best approximates of the observed values whenever the model chosen is suited to the data. An over—all test of the regression can be done through the analysis of variance. The method of iterative calculation will provide rapid estimation of the parameters, if convergence is attainable. In some cases, only a few cycles of iteration may be sufficient to give the required value of the parameters to be used in fitting the curve to the data.
