Issue Date

Abstract
A single spider attacked by the Philippine scops-owl (Otus megalotis Walden) was submitted to the UPLB Museum of Natural History for identification. Morphological examination revealed that the specimen represents the sparassid, heteropoda venatoria (L.). This paper documents the arachnophagy of the Philippine scops-owl as well as presents a redescription of the spider preyed upon by this owl.
