Abstract

Seven new species of soil mites belonging to the genus Dolicheremaeus (Octocepheidae) are described from the Samar Island Natural Park, namely: D. genitalis, D. luzonicellus, D. Malakius, D. niedbalai, D. rimandoi, D. subiasi and D. waray. Four species previously described from other islands of this Philippines are also recorded in Samar.
