Issue Date
10-2004
Abstract
The webworm, Nausinoe geometralis, was recorded on sampaguita Jasminium sambac in the country for the first time. Its life history, longevity and fecundity on sampaguita were studied. Oviposition, feeding and pupation behavior were recorded and documented. Larva of a carabid beetle was observed feeding on larvae of the webworm. A species of chalcid parasitoid was reared out from webworm samples collected from Balete, Batangas with about 30% parasitization.
