Abstract
A new species of stick insect (Phasmatodea: Phasmatidae) from the Philippine Islands, Phasmotaenia elongata n. sp., is described and illustrated. It difers from the only species of Phasmotaenia Navas, P. sanchezi (Bolivar) in terms of body and egg morphology. P. elongata is restricted to the Northern part of Luzon island.
