The Community Innovations Studies Center (CISC) of the College of Public Affairs and Development (CPAf), UP Los Baños hosted a webinar with the theme "SWIM or SINK: Adaptation and Coping Strategies of Coastal and Lake Fishing Communities Amidst Climate Change." The webinar was held on 25 August 2021 via Zoom and Facebook live. Two research papers were presented in the webinar. Ms. Maria Francesca O. Tan presented her paper entitled “Adaptive Strategies and Coping Mechanisms of Lakeshore Communities on Climate Related Disturbances in the Major Lakes of Luzon” and Ms. Samantha Geraldine G. De los Santos talked about “Adaptation through Limited Knowledge: Sarangani Fisherfolk’s Strategies to Address the Changing Climate.” Dr. Jennifer Marie S. Amparo of the Department of Social Development Services, CHE and Ms. Nazrin Camille M. Castro of The Climate Reality Project Philippines served as discussants during the webinar.
