Abstract
An interactive and reliable web-based module for learning microprocessor design was built using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash MX, Swish v2.0, So think DHTML, Cool Edit Pro and Adobe Photoshop 7.0 softwares. The making of the module involved identifying of objectives; arranging subject matter into logical sequences; preparing and testing instructional discussions; and then implementing, testing, and revising them. By means of ANOVA, a test for significant differences between means, the statistical analysis on the scores of the respondents in pre-test and post-test showed a significant difference at a < 0.01. This implies that the test scores of students significantly differed after taking the module. Moreover, a stability of increasing scores was observed based on frequency analysis of the scores. Thus, the reliability test conducted among the junior applied physics students confirmed that the instruction module was a reliable source for learning microprocessor architecture. Though efficient and successful, the module was concluded not to replace the usual classroom environment but it can be use as an additional study material for learning microprocessor architecture. In testing the constant reliability of the module, it is recommended for further studies to conduct an assessment of the module by using a teacher-classroom-based control specimen.
