Abstract
This study is based on the usage of Phinma properties of tunnel formwork. This method of construction is not commonly used in the Philippines thus it is very noteworthy to study it. It is then the main purpose of this study to familiarize the reader to tunnelforms, to know the parameters in choosing the right formworks and to compare it to a more commonly used construction methodology in the Philippines. The parameters of the comparison are the most basic yet essential parameters, being: material cost, labor cost and time efficiency. To address this, tunnelforms is compared to Conventional Formworks, which is more commonly used formwork, by Cost-Benefit Analysis and simple time comparison by simulation builds. The study concludes with data supporting that conventional formwork are much preferable for shorter use whole tunnelforms even though having a high initial cost is more preferable for long term repetitive uses.
