Abstract

Thirteen species, two varieties and two cultivars were studied to make descriptions including notes on the date and circumstance of their introduction and illustrations/photo-graphs of then; to prepare keys to their identification; and to examine their chromosomes. The plants used in this study were taken from various commercial and private nurseries in Los Banos, Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Voucher specimens of materials studied have been prepared and are deposited at the Botanical Herbarium, Museum of Natural History, University of the Philippines at Los Banos.'
