Abstract

The farm practice was conducted at PICQ Nucleus Farm, Lopez, Quezon. The farm is a farrow to finish enterprise and is approximately (NUMBER) hectares. It is a 500 sow level which is maintained for the last decade. The student conducted the farm practice from April to May 2014. The student experienced the daily operation of a large commercial farm which includes the management of each different stages, record keeping and other activities performed outside the production area such as preparing/cooking of the feed supplements as well as assisting in the feed warehouse. At the end, the student evaluated the farm procedures by conducting technical analysis as well as strength, weakness, opportunities, and threat based analysis. A list of recommendations was suggested based on the technical analysis which may help to improve the performance of the farm.
