Abstract

The major farm practice was conducted in JHEST Farm located at San Vicente, Magalang, Pampanga. The 4.5 ha. farm is a farrow to finish enterprise with a total sow level of 1063. The student conducted the farm practice from May to June 2014. The student performed several management practices in different stages of production including feeding, medication, vaccination, castration, ear notching, and other management activities. He also experienced record keeping and observation in mixing feeds. After the practice, the student performed technical analysis based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats currently occurring at the time of his stay. He also gave recommendations based on the weaknesses and threats he identified to improve the performance of the farm.
