Abstract

The farm practice was conducted at Palmes Agri-Farm, San Jose, Batangas. The farm is a farrow to finish enterprise having a 250 sow level capacity. The student conducted the farm practice from April to May 2013. The student experienced the daily operations of a large commercial farm which includes record keeping, management of different stages of swine production, marketing and office works. At the end, the student evaluated the farm procedures by conducting technical analysis which includes the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threat which were present in the farm. A list of recommendations was suggested based on the technical analysis which can help improve the performance of the farm.
