Abstract

Precious Ones Kinderhome is offers nursery and kindergarten education in Barangay Muzon. It serves the community for almost 12 years and is one of the pioneer preparatory school. The school experienced low enrolment due to the unavailability to secure a government permit from the Department of Education during school years 2011-2012 to 2013-2014. It resulted to an opportunity loss of Php 169,200.00. A greater loss was recorded as the forecasted growth in enrolment was used through a trend analysis generated from POM for Windows. An additional opportunity loss was computed as Php 225,600.00. The losses are effect of non-compliance of the school facilities for government recognition on the school's course offerings. The compliance of the school and classroom facilities amount to Php80,250.00. The compliance includes setting the internal and external physical structure of the school according to DepEd standards listed on the Educational Facilities Manual. Also, comprehensive and complete risk reduction measures are imposed within the school facility. Third party clinics and guidance counseling, combination of at least two activity centers per space in at least 140-square-meter floor space and installing school main gate at the rights side of the existing service gate will generate a fully compliant educstional facility. To cope with the said project cost, the school owner commits 20% of the school's income to the school's development fund generated from the 10% of the tuition fee collection. The school is expected to generate Php 338,400.00 from the school year 2014-2015. The school has enough monetary resources for the school and classroom development that will result to government recognition of the course offering at Precious Ones Kinderhome.
