Abstract

This study investigated the monitoring and controlling function at LRT Line 1- Balintawak Station. The test results revealed that the status of the station can be monitored at the school center using the Remote Terminal Unit through its different Input/output Modules. In addition, the results also showed that the control center can command switches, breakers and feeders at the said station. The findings confirmed that RTUs can be used as a monitoring and controlling agent. The study also revealed how the I/O modules functions as well as the System Tools Suite. The I/O modules have types and can be used for different inputs and for different outputs.
