Abstract

The Bago (Ibaan) Multi-Purpose Cooperative is registered on May 13, 1991 in the Cooperative Development Authority. The cooperative is an enterprise that consists of consumer retail store, diesel station, water refilling station, and a feed mill. The report focuses on the hog feed production and machinery involved in the operations. The growing livestock subsector of the country increases the demand on providing good quality feed products. The feed production in the feed mill is summarized in processes of grinding, weighing and mixing. Prior to operation quality of raw materials are inspected to test the quality required for feed production. The field practice also served as a training ground of the student as hands-on experience was held. The machines used in the operations are well noted; the functions and operations are learnt. Some improvements were suggested for some problems encountered by the trainee. A better storage for the raw materials, regular maintenance of machineries, proper ventilation and upkeep behavior were recommended.
