Abstract

A search in Laguna for varieties and forms of pummelos that may prove better than Siam, now the predominating commercial variety in that province, yielded five kinds considered better than the control by a panel of three judges. Pink March and "Exconde Pink" were ranked first and second, both by the panel and by a chemical analysis for titratable acidity and total reducing sugar. The ranking of the other three varieties (Siamese Pink, Sunwuilak, and Vermillon) differed, according to the method used.
