Abstract
The effects of four groups of Leaf sheaths, two portions within a leaf sheath and five levels were studied in 1967 in Tigeon, Camarines Sur and at the Plantation Crops Section of the Department of Agronomy.
Storage impaired fiber quality in term of tensile strength, color and percentage stretch of portion or group. Fiber fineness, on the other hand, tended to increase with storage.
Group x portion, portion x storage, group x storage, and group x portion x storage interaction highly significant differences. This limits the conclusiveness of results.
