Abstract
PI 194208, a variety introduced from the U.S.A. outyielded two locally developed commercial varieties, UPCA #4 and UPCA #5. High seed yield was due to the increase in number of cluster and pods per plant. The study shows that seed production of cowpea can give a net return per hectare of P3426.40 to P11425.10 obtainable in 80 days.
